Increase Bearing Life and Improve Motor Reliability.

Bearings, some of the most important components of electric motors, are designed to operate for many years. Yet, more than half of motor failures are caused by bearing failure. The most common causes of premature bearing failure are lubrication loss and contamination ingress.

To increase motor reliability and the mean time between repair (MTBR), effectively seal your bearing housing with patented Bearing Isolator technology from Inpro/Seal®. The Inpro/Seal mini66 Bearing Isolator Is our standard seal for permanent motor bearing protection. It has an extremely compact design, only a 0.375 in. (9.52mm) overall length, to provide premium protection in small spaces without the need to modify the housing cover. The mini66 Bearing Isolator utilizes the VBXX® interface and VBX® Ring to permanently keep contaminants from entering the bearing housing, while the grease band blocks grease from traveling down the shaft and escaping. The Bearing Isolator’s unique non-contacting design adds no drag on the shaft, maximizing motor efficiency and providing energy savings.

 Smart Shaft GroundingTechnology Protects Against Stray Shaft Currents.

Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) can induce high-frequency voltages on the shaft that seek a path to ground through the motor’s bearings. When these voltages exceed the insulation breakdown of the lubricant, they discharge through the bearings and cause fusion craters, pitting and fluting – leading causes of premature bearing failure on VFD-driven motors.

Inpro/Seal Smart Shaft Grounding combines proven technology with innovative new features to offer the broadest array of shaft grounding products available. 

The Inpro/Seal SmartCDR® (Current Divider Ring®) uses proprietary conductive filaments coupled with a bearing bronze sleeve to protect motor bearings from stray shaft currents. The conductive filaments provide a low impedance path to ground, drawing the currents away from the bearings while the sleeve provides a consistent non-corrosive surface for the brushes to contact.

For severe duty motors, the Inpro/Seal Smart MGS® (Motor Grounding Seal®) combines proven CDR technology with the patented VBXX Bearing Isolator to provide complete bearing protection against stray shaft currents
