STS Bearing Isolator

Gearboxes with flooded shafts are some of the most difficult applications to seal. Due to the flooded conditions, oil will leak through a non-contacting seal into the atmosphere. However, contact seals lose effectiveness in a short period of time due to wear, and purged seals can be expensive to purchase and maintain.

The Inpro/Seal STS Bearing Isolator effectively seals gearboxes with flooded shafts through innovative design and technology. A two-part dynamic seal consisting of a rotor and stator, the STS Bearing Isolator combines a contact seal with the patented XX Interface to eliminate contamination ingress and lubrication loss. To increase seal life expectancy, the contact seal rides on a ground stainless steel rotor that replicates the shaft surface, decreasing wear.
